St. Patrick's

I met a student several days ago from this college whom I remembered from a previous college. Her English is very poor. Although she was unable to progress at the previous college she is passing confidently at St. Patrick's, so poor is the marking. She enthused over one of the teachers, one of the worst at dumbing down and who I'm sure has at best an HND. He teaches by question and answer, 1.1, 1.2. Easy to grasp, because there is no substance, and very easy to teach. Not real teaching! Not academic! This student will emerge with a merit, but cannot speak or write the language. Much like many of the lecturers!
