Project Management:
Opgrades Global's lecturers copy and paste learning outcomes, along with an introduction to a course, which rarely seemed to vary from other introductions. It is left there, merely as a shell. Neither of the core lecturers appeared to have any genuine knowledge of higher education, the required standards and appropriate study methods. At best, it was slap-dash. I say at best, but I am being generous here.
Over a period of a few weeks, often complex courses were taught. When I, much to my shame, taught Project Management there I informed my student that the course was not genuine and that they should go elsewhere if they required a Project Management certificate. Reed, for example, does an accredited Project Management course for much less than the considerable sum Opgrade Global charged. Nevertheless, I provided the core ideas of PMP and encouraged her to do a project as part of her learning. I provided case studies that showed that often Project Management was not straightforward and the importance of knowing when a remit was impossible to fulfil.
