Ying Cao

When the storm came
the rivers swelled
the sea became full of fury,
the birds died
and all animals hid.
Lightening cracked across
the sky like a whip.
Light cracked the sky
and gashed the moon
and darkness fell.

When time becomes a river
it flows faster than before,
when it is dammed it slows
down again and disappears into the sea.
