dont go now
when the sun is out
and breezes softly shrill,
dont go now
stay a little while
now winds are blowing
stay until the daylight fills
the sky and rains stop falling
stay here, with me,
stay for this and every eternity
stay

River
The river winds like
the wind hitting mounds and cities,
seeking a route to the sea.
it carries with it history
dragging it along like dust.

FREUD and psychiatry
Freud: the problem with psychiatry.
Amazon. Stanley Wilkin. 99p at present.
Do you have suicidal feelings, dark thoughts on alienation. The cause might not be you but the drug your doctor has prescribed.

FREUD-the problem with psychiatry. Amazon, at present 99p
Psychiatry is probably the most damaging medical process at present.
For example, the expansion of mental illness is likely to be caused by psychiatric (psychotropic) drugs.
Doctors routinely deny the damaging effects of their drugs.
So do the pharmaceutical companies.
The damage done is observable and recorded but as the medical profession and pharmaceutical companies assess their efficacy through experiments and tests on mice and rats the differential between their results and observable results is dramatic. Their drugs work fine on mice thereby they must work fine on humans!
Psychiatric ideas are based on extreme reductionism, backed up by experiments on rodents. Psychiatry does not debate their ideas, but simply assume they are correct and then from there develop treatments. Some of these treatments, like lobotomies, are highly destructive and would not be out of place in the narrative of NAZI abuse methodology. Destructive treatments tend to be performed on the poor and vulnerable within society.

ark
The drip of rain
becomes a torrent,
the drip, drip, drip
becomes a flood,
the drip, drip, drip becomes
a deluge and the ark, the hundreth ark,
rolls on the waves for eternity.

Celia escaped his hold
and stood up. She twirled letting the dying sun fall on every part of her.
‘The ancient world
must have been a paradise of sorts, before we arrived with our cars, planes and
wars.’ She insisted. ‘We spoiled everything.’ She moved slowly back towards the
stones, flinging her arms high and wide. ‘We spoiled everything.’
He noted the abrupt
change in her voice. She began to visibly shake in the half-light. Dropping her
glass, she laid one hand upon the nearest stone. She began to convulse. A force
appeared to be moving through her. He jumped up but she waved him away.
‘Yes,’ she began. Her
voice was cracked and strained. ‘These stones were once for religious
purposes.’
She pulled her hand
away again.
‘This entire area
was.’ She moaned.
Suddenly she sank to
her knees.
‘You ok, Celia?’ He
asked. ‘You haven’t drunk that much!’ He laughed nervously.
‘No. But just for a
brief moment, I thought I understood clearly why this mound was here. I saw the
landscape differently. I somehow understood it. For a few seconds, I was part
of the terrible things that went on here.’ She sat down beside him again. ‘Oh,
give me another glass. I need it!’

Flood-to be announced shortly
The sea crept relentlessly forward and enveloped the land.
New York became a row of concrete fingers
sticking above the waves, gesturing obscenely,
London a few steeples peering above the water
in final gasps as history sank,
And Hong Kong disappeared
leaving the battling mainland to take care of itself..
Music played in the watery depth
as dogs and cats fought for breath
and paris deluged by the seine
got newly battered by storm and rain
and no one visited it again
no one visited it again
No one visited the Mona Lisa
No one remembered her smile
under the river water,
her smile more sarcastic as the tides
tickled her chin
and her mouth opened wide to let the water in.

leg
he lost his leg the other day,
in the morning it was there
in the afternoon it walked away
.He did not care
it seems or worry
but legged after it in staggering leaps
like a lion after its quarry.
and now both he and his fugive leg sleeps
under a passing lorry.

what
What has happened
when did it come
why did it stay
and when will it go?
It is dumb, it will not say.

gloom and dew
The gloom filled everything like a conquering army eager for land
it covered the grass and flowers
turned rich soil into sand
sucked the juice from ripe marrows
bridging the water like a ragged pier
crushing perspiration, turning joy into a tear.
its battalions rolled onto meadow and stream
converting life into a dream.
